Who they’re looking for
Applicants with experience in scare acting or costume/mascot work. Mascot candidates ideally are 6’1” or taller and comfortable in full costume and masks; movement skills are a plus. Scare actors should be comfortable working in the dark, wearing masks and creature suits, and have the stamina to scare all night.
Creature suit performers
Ideal candidates will be 6’1” + and comfortable in full costume and masks while wearing full Hollywood style Creature suits. Movement skills are a plus.

Playing age, Equity, understudy… what do these mean?
Playing age is how old a character appears, which may differ from your own age. Equity is the actors’ union; check each theatre’s eligibility rules. An understudy learns a role to perform when the main actor is unavailable.

What to prepare
Help with headshots, résumés, and self-tapes
A headshot is a clear photo of you. An acting résumé lists your performance experience and training. A self-tape is a recorded audition video. Sides are the short script excerpts the theatre asks you to perform. Follow this theatre’s specific instructions.
How to apply
Email and state what city you are local to. Attach a headshot and resume. Record a short video moving through the space with a “predatory animal” in mind, stalking a victim, then slowly evolving into a human being. Try to avoid words, but sounds are allowed.
