Audition
Actors of all abilities, sizes, races and ethnicities, and gender identities are encouraged to submit for any role in which they may see fit. Actors with relevant cultural or community connections are especially encouraged to audition for zombie roles.
Playing age: 40s-50s; any ethnicity
The first openly gay President of the United States, struggling to hold a sinking and fractured union together while dealing with personal and national crises. This role requires physical intimacy and full nudity.
Playing age: 30s-40s; Asian or Arab or Latino
Thom’s First Gentleman. Entangled in romantic and political affairs. This role requires physical intimacy and full nudity.
Playing age: 40s-50s; White
The Lady Secretary of State (and former two-term president), a hawkish and controlling political figure.
Playing age: 20s-50s; Black
The Secretary General of the United African Nations and her sister/counterpart. Representing the formidable African superpower that has deployed peacekeepers to the U.S.
Playing age: 20s-40s; White
Hard-bodied human clones programmed to serve. They become entangled in romantic and political maneuvering. This role requires physical intimacy and may require partial nudity.
Playing age: Any age
Secretary of Defense and tangled up in the administration's physical and political intrigues. The Zombie Minority Whip is a reanimated historical and political figure who retains a warped grasp of governance, policy, and a literal appetite for flesh and organs. This role requires physical intimacy and may require partial nudity.
Playing age: Any age and gender
The presiding leader of the underground zombie council living beneath the White House.
Playing age: Any age
A leading figure among the undead politicians.
Playing age is how old a character appears, which may differ from your own age. Equity is the actors’ union; check each theatre’s eligibility rules. An understudy learns a role to perform when the main actor is unavailable.

A headshot is a clear photo of you. An acting résumé lists your performance experience and training. A self-tape is a recorded audition video. Sides are the short script excerpts the theatre asks you to perform. Follow this theatre’s specific instructions.
Submit self-tapes, headshots, and resumes to the linked Google audition form as an unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link. Prepare a 1–2-minute monologue from a Jacobean play (Shakespeare also welcome, but Jacobean is preferred), and include a slate in the self-tape.
