Who they’re looking for
Applicants with experience in scare acting or costume/mascot work are invited. Mascot performers ideally will be 6’1” or taller, comfortable in full costume and masks, and have movement skills. Scare actors should be comfortable working in the dark, wearing masks and creature suits, and scaring all night.
Creature suit performers
Creature suit performers; ideal candidates will be comfortable in full costume and masks, and movement skills are a plus.

Playing age, Equity, understudy… what do these mean?
Playing age is how old a character appears, which may differ from your own age. Equity is the actors’ union; check each theatre’s eligibility rules. An understudy learns a role to perform when the main actor is unavailable.

What to prepare
Help with headshots, résumés, and self-tapes
A headshot is a clear photo of you. An acting résumé lists your performance experience and training. A self-tape is a recorded audition video. Sides are the short script excerpts the theatre asks you to perform. Follow this theatre’s specific instructions.
How to apply
Email your submission and identify the city where you are local. Include a headshot and resume and submit the audition video described in the posting: a short example of moving through a space with a “predatory animal” in mind, stalking a victim, then slowly evolving into a human being. Try to avoid words, but feel free to make sound.
