Who they’re looking for

Actor who can play a middle-school kid; does not need to be White or Jewish to audition.

Child / class member

Playing age: Around 9 years old

Small ensemble role with more action than lines. The actor plays a child in a class and then adults and children throughout the play; all actors are on stage for the duration of the approximately 60-minute show.

Playing age, Equity, understudy… what do these mean?

Playing age is how old a character appears, which may differ from your own age. Equity is the actors’ union; check each theatre’s eligibility rules. An understudy learns a role to perform when the main actor is unavailable.

What does it pay?

$100
