Who they’re looking for

Union information: AEA. Check the theatre’s instructions for who may audition.

Track 2 - Juliet / Cindy Lou

All roles are ensemble-based and cast members learn multiple tracks. This track moves from rebellious young romantic to intelligent heroine, heart-forward optimist, and scrappy young adventurer. Needs emotional depth, strong physical storytelling, comedic awareness, and the ability to make bold theatrical worlds feel grounded and human. Cast members are required to drink onstage approximately once per week.

  • Strong physical storytelling
  • Comedic awareness
Playing age, Equity, understudy… what do these mean?

Playing age is how old a character appears, which may differ from your own age. Equity is the actors’ union; check each theatre’s eligibility rules. An understudy learns a role to perform when the main actor is unavailable.

What does it pay?

Salary of $901.77 per week; performances exceeding this amount are paid at $100.79 per performance, and non-performance hours exceeding it at $21.22 per hour.

Contract: AEA. Weekly: 8 or more shows a week, 40 hours of rehearsal/admin per week, 6 days a week.
