Playing age, Equity, understudy… what do these mean?
Playing age is how old a character appears, which may differ from your own age. Equity is the actors’ union; check each theatre’s eligibility rules. An understudy learns a role to perform when the main actor is unavailable.
What does it pay?
Compensation is $1,200, including a $150 rehearsal stipend and $30 per performance for 35 performances. Understudies receive $530 including one guaranteed performance, and $30 per performance for each additional show performed.

Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held in person on Sunday, October 11, 2026 beginning at 7pm.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin Monday, December 7 and are typically held from 7:00-10:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays from 10:00am-1:00pm until tech which begins on Saturday, February 6.
